Sarah (Sassy) Mohen – A 22 year old filmmaker is from no where in particular and everywhere in general. She has lived in NYC, DC, San Francisco, Orange County and Los Angeles.

In college she wrote and directed the Independent Feature Film Happy Holidays which took her two years to complete. Going against the judgment of her University and peers, she undertook this ridiculously difficult task and came out triumphant. She completed the film for no funding, while not owning a car and with no support from her school. To her, this story gives her the belief that you can do anything if just want it badly enough! The film recently received distribution on "Indieflix" and Netflix.

Sarah began her next script True Perfection in Sept 2007. Inspired by the colossal undertaking of Happy Holidays, it follows a fashion designer in the 24 hours before her premiere line. After shooting the pilot, the film is currently receiving funding and will be shot in Winter 2009. In addition, she will be shooting OTV 2.0 this summer and is very excited!! With these projects she plans to start her company SPIF Productions officially by the end of 2009.

Right now she lives with her boyfriend Matthew Stubstad, good friend Katie Coffman in in an apartment decorated in black, white, silver and pink. She is in school part time at LACC to continue expanding her mind (and deferring student loans) and working full time at Believe Media. When not working excessively hard she LOVES to go out dancing, work out, try new things, go to the movies, spend time with her cat Layla, write and bum around on myspace.

Goals to accomplish during On The Verge
1.) Get funding for my next feature "True Perfection"
2.) Get a steady job in the film world (accomplished June 2008)
3.) Get distribution for "Happy Holidays" (accomplished July 2008)
4.) Officially created SPIF Productions as an LLC

•What do you want to accomplish by this? I want to make the world better for women. This is cliche maybe but I want to make it easier for them. Also I want to encourage people to be different and try ambitious things!
•What has been the biggest obstacle so far? EVERYTHING. 1) Being a chick. this is a male dominated business and already that's a huge problem 2) My funds 3) Lack of Car 4) Everything else
•What has been the biggest obstacle in the past 6 months? Money, I could have a major production company going if someone were to invest in it...
