Gina Moffit - Waiting Game Music Video

Waiting Game was written and performed by Gina Moffit (23) out of LA. Gina says "I was staying with a friend mine who likes my music and happens to play piano, so magically things just started to happen." Gina's work tends to just happen in some unusual places including the bathroom floor but that doesn't bother us! Just wash your hands when your done...

Gina Moffit is certainly not Just another bachelor's degree with her beautiful voice, sexy pout, and some of the most unique lyrics we've ever heard, Gina is a rising star and we're stoked to feature some of her best work here on aM. You can find more of Gina's work on YouTube and we highly recommend her new song Almost.

Lyrics:

I drove with you 3000 miles...
To help you start a life without me...
But i think i left mine behind now...
Cuz it's on hold...

So if you want me then I will be waiting...
for the hourglass to be half full again...
You know what they say even optimists carry raincoats...

See you later's not good bye...
Contestants in the waiting game line...
As yesteryear skips a beat now...
I'm rushing my life

SO if you want me then I will be waiting...
for the hourglass to be half full again...
You know what they say even optimists carry raincoats...

I know it's funny
For me to say i'm waiting
We were supposed to meet up
I'm the one not quite there yet
But i just got get one more thing
Another...another bachelor's degree...

This Holiday Life - Motivation Music Video

This is the Official Music Video for This Holiday Life's new song Motivation (In Between) which can also be found on the aM Music Player starting in February 2008. You can find out more about This Holiday Life at: Myspace.com/ThisHolidayLife The music video was made by Mathew Stubstad (writer, cinematographer, producer, director) and was shot in August 2007 and finished in September 2007. This video is a Matthew Stubstad Films Production and you can learn more about his work at: myspace.com/MatthewStubstadFilms

Video Information provided in an interview with Matthew Stubstad: "I have known and been a fan of This Holiday Life for a while. The guys in the band are great people and I have wanted to work with them for a long time. I started making a video for them last year, the video had slow-motion light bulbs exploding in reverse and some other neat things, but I had too much school and not enough time to make the project I wanted.

But Scott (lead singer) and I stayed in contact. They started to record their newest album The Beginning of the End of the World. Scott sent me a sample of the song Motivation and I could not wait to get started.

They finished the album and we started making the music video for Motivation. The shooting schedule for this video was intense. We shot 14 different scenes and 10 different locations. And we shot this all in one full day and one long night. It was fun but a lot to keep track of and a lot of energy. Because I was not only directing the video I was also shooting and producing it (essentially a one man crew, besides my home boy Austen Hesseling who was Assistant Producer and played the bands Sleazy Agent). We shot most of the film in and around Encinitas, my home town. I find it helpful to film there because I know it like the back of my hand, location wise that is.

The guys in the band were a dream to work with. They were hyped up and eager the whole time, no egos, just great people. When the band got their equipment set up for their performance scenes they became electric, performing great every take. They are a great band to see live if you ever get the chance.

During the scenes where they had to actually act I had a great time directing them. It was good practice as a director to work with non-actors. The work was also rewarding when I saw a good performance out of them.

We finished shooting the film and then the long process of editing began. My good friend and great editor Alik Griffin cut this film for me. We spent many late nights re-cutting scenes making this fast paced film work. He put a lot of time into this project and it really shows.

All in all I loved making this film. It was nothing but rewarding. In fact the band and I had such a good time making this film and were so happy with the end product that I will be making the next music video or two for their album The Beginning of the End of the World."

Love Campaign - Dead At 21 Music Video

This is the Official Music Video for Love Campaign's new song Dead at 21 which can also be found on the aM Music Player and purchased direct from ABSTRACTmall now! You can find out more about Love Campaign at: Myspace.com/LoveCampaign The music video was made by Mathew Stubstad (writer, cinematographer, producer, director) and was shot in August 2007 and finished in September 2007. This video is a Matthew Stubstad Films Production and you can learn more about his work at: myspace.com/MatthewStubstadFilms

Video Information provided in an interview with Matthew Stubstad: "One night I was at my friend Garret's house. He had people over and I showed them all a film I had just made called The Contract. One of the people in the crowd was James Coleman. As we watched the film together he kept asking me questions about how I made it, etc. After we had completely finished the film he explained to me that he is in a band called Love Campaign and that they want to make a music video for their new song called Dead at 21.

On that same night James took me to his car and showed me the song, it was great! Some time passed due to school and life, but then we got on track with making the video happen. This was going to be my first big music video so I had to make it great, from style to concept. So I met up with James (lead singer) and Justin Froese (lead guitarist) to get their input as to what they wanted from the video. A lot of talking and Rico's fish tacos later and we had our concept.

The plot in the music video comes from the story of a girl who inspired the song, but the real girl is still alive :)

I knew I wanted to film the band performing on top of a mountain with a great view behind them, so we went searching and eventually found the perfect spot. The only trouble was that the location was right next to some houses and we planned on filming the band perform their song at 6am. So the drummer Vito covered his drums with towels and they played away. Luckily no one woke up.

We shot this film in 3 days. The first day started at 9 pm and ended at 7 am. In that day we shot all of the performance sections. We got some great shots on top of the mountain at magic hour while the sun was rising. The next day we went to a local restaurant called Captain Kenos in Encinitas to shoot the story section of the film, they were very nice and let us use the whole place.

We ended up in down-town San Diego that night at hotel lobbies trying to shoot the ballroom dance scene. We were kicked out of a few places but we kept on and got the shots we needed. I did what we had to in order to complete this film. This film was mostly shot guerrilla style with no budget and a one man crew of me (Matthew Stubstad).

The lead actress in the film was great. Her named is Elana Hendler. She is very talented and gave a great performance. I was also very happy with Jame's performance, for not being an actor I got some good material from him.

It was a lot of fun working with these guys. They were humble, stoked and easy to work with."

Greenpeace Light Garden by Jason Bruges

Jason Bruges teamed up with Greenpeace UK in London to create an art display that also promotes energy efficiency this September.

While CFL (Compact Fluorescent Light bulb) energy efficient technology has been around for several years now, many have complained that it is not aesthetic appealing and cannot be dimmed. This display helps raise awareness of new CFL's that can be dimmed and still maintain their energy saving qualities.

The art piece was made completely of renewable or recycled materials and featured special touch points that users could interact with. As members of the audience put their hand on special sensors the light would respond in an organic way. In this sense, the display acted like a living creature and created an analogy for the energy of our natural world.
Witness Trailer by OFSmedia

Presented by Solomon, Witness was produced by Kyle Decker and features freestyle skiing and snowbarding. Starring talent such as Mike Clarke, Mitch Derr, Drew Hoffman, Mike Hornbeck, John Cody, Derrin Carelli, Justin Terman, Nick Burquien, Wiley Miller, Brad Dingess, Brian Power, Mike Mindala, Pat Cooke, and many others... The cover art was created by ABSTRACTmall's own Blake Kimmel and other sponsors include Jiberish, Spy Optics, Saga, Line, snow trails, 4FRNT Skis, and Helly Hansen. Witness is distributed exclusively on aM and can be purchased here: Witness by OFSmedia

Originating from the topographically challenged region of central Ohio, the OFSmedia crew was initially faced with a formidable challenge, documenting skiing and riding in a part of North America notorious for frigid temperatures, minuscule snow pack and petite size mountains. The murky skies and frustrating climate of the Midwest had been the ruin of countless local projects in the past, but this year (06' - 07') the OFSmedia squadron creatively utilized urban terrain and closed hill shots in their diversification to their home state as well as ambitious western U.S. travel schedule to bring variety and diversification to their riding. Whether tackling a sub zero late night urban shoot in the metropolitan Ohio, or embarking on a bluebird morning Utah sled expedition the roguery of the OFS crew was meticulously documented through the high definition lens of Kyle Decker.

What followed was a production that showcases the excitement and stoke of up and coming riders, who would otherwise be doomed to a season of sub par Midwest conditions, capitalizing on the opportunity to taste the fruits of the west. Witness up and coming talent conquer harsh environments, experiment on new terrains, slay oversized features, struggle with injuries and ultimately surmount a stereotype plaguing their homeland for so many years, that nothing good ever came out of the Midwest... This DVD has brought people together across lines and sports, featuring skiing and snowboarding in a unique and original way.
