Jason Bruges teamed up with Greenpeace UK in London to create an art display that also promotes energy efficiency this September.
While CFL (Compact Fluorescent Light bulb) energy efficient technology has been around for several years now, many have complained that it is not aesthetic appealing and cannot be dimmed. This display helps raise awareness of new CFL's that can be dimmed and still maintain their energy saving qualities.
The art piece was made completely of renewable or recycled materials and featured special touch points that users could interact with. As members of the audience put their hand on special sensors the light would respond in an organic way. In this sense, the display acted like a living creature and created an analogy for the energy of our natural world. Read more about this, and other sustainable projects at
